Residency Applicants

Congratulations! You are almost there. Your graduation from medical school is one of the most rewarding and gratifying achievements of your life. You are ready to join an elite group of professionals. Your hard work is paying off as you had hoped, and because of that, you are a respected member of the physician community. But with that title, comes a great deal of responsibility as well. Now, you are no longer simply a student sitting in classroom or a clinical clerk shadowing another doctor. As you transition into residency, a great deal of maturation needs to occur. You must realize that now, you will be responsible for human lives, liable for your mistakes, and accountable for your judgment. It's time to compile everything you've learned so far and put it to use. It's true that throughout residency, you can resort to the expertise of your colleagues and attendings. However, no matter which program you decide to pursue, you will undoubtedly have to make many decisions on your own. This is part of becoming a doctor and how you come to develop your own style. You will find that our physician consultants right here at AAMA are the best situated to give you the knowledge you need to take your career to the next level.
Residency Admissions

Wrapping up your medical school training is a very busy time. The last couple of years of your training are jammed packed with board preparations, clinical clerkships, and career development contemplation. Important decisions need to be made regarding which specialty you would like to pursue, taking into account your age, family obligations, desired salary, among many other factors. Once you've decided what kind of doctor you would like to become, you then need to proceed to applying to your desired programs, interviewing again, and waiting for Match Day. It's a grueling process, lengthy and it can be very costly as well. Optimize your chances of achieving your goals quickly, efficiently, and in a cost-effective manner. Our consultants typically spend approximately 8 hours total over the course of your 4-year medical school education. We typically average 1.5 hours per year during the first two years of medical school, and 2.5 hours during your final two years. For the most part, most students can gain the advantage they need within this time frame. Occasionally, more time is needed depending on the specific individual needs of our client.
